The State Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services makes recommendations to the Governor, the General Assembly, and the Department on policies, plans, procedures, and proposed regulations regarding how to improve the statewide emergency medical services system.

Member Requirements: Members must represent appropriate areas of expertise in emergency medical services, including volunteers, professional organizations involved in emergency medical services, emergency medical technicians, EMT-paramedics, registered nurses, firefighters, physicians, hospital administrators, and other health care providers concerned with emergency medical services.
