To study the issue of sexual abuse of children and make recommendations for reducing child sexual abuse in Missouri.
Function:
Must submit a final report with recommendations to the governor, general assembly, and the state board of education by January 1, 2013.

Member Requirements: 4 members of the general assembly appointed one each by the president pro tem of the senate, the senate minority floor leader, the speaker of the house, and the house minority leader; DSS director or designee; Commissioner of education or designee; DHSS director or designee; director of the office of prosecution services or designee; and the following 10 members appointed by the Governor: 1 representative of law enforcement, 3 active Missouri teachers, 1 representative of an organization involved in forensic investigation relating to child abuse, 1 school superintendent, one representative of the state domestic violence coalition, 1 representative from the juvenile and family court, 1 representative from the Missouri Network of Child Advocacy Centers, 1 at large member. Members shall all be actively involved in the fields of the prevention of child abuse and neglect and child welfare.
