Gov. Nixon details Governor's Joplin Challenge in St. Louis

Gov. Nixon today detailed the Governor's Joplin Challenge at Peabody Opera House in downtown St. Louis, where he was joined by Bill DeWitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals, former star defensive back Aeneas Williams of Official St. Louis Rams; St. Louis Blues Hockey Club CEO Mike McCarthy, and Director of Development at Mizzou, T.J. Leon. The Governor's Challenge also includes The Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas Speedway, who will represent the speedway, NASCAR and NASCAR Unites.

Volunteers can sign up to help build the homes and donate to the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity at joplinchallenge.mo.gov.
